Français de souche seems to have the wrong definition and wrong connotation. It means from a pure French lineage with a nationalist connotation. It is not deprecating about the person mentioned, it's even the contrary for people using this phrase. As mentioned in the footnote, it readily classifies the person using this phrase as nationalist and/or xenophobic.
